Niederau in Winter

The ancient ski village of Niederau is located in the beautiful area of Wildschönau. In winter, this area is now among the top 10 best ski resorts in Tyrol. Since 2012, Wildschönau has been connected to the ski area of Alpbachtal through one of the most modern gondola lifts in the world. This results in a superb ski area with 110 km of ski slopes, suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The area is enjoyable for families with young children as well as professionals who are not afraid of black, mogul slopes, and deep powder descents. Sporty cross-country skiers and mountain hikers also find joy in the extensive and stunning natural landscape of Wildschönau.

Niederau in Summer

Niederau is also a real attraction in the summer. The virtually unspoiled natural area of Wildschönau is one of the oldest ski areas in Tyrol but also makes for a beautiful summer vacation spot in the mountains. In the summer, you can use the lifts for free with the Wildschönau Card. With 300 km of hiking trails, Wildschönau is a true hiker’s paradise. Mountain hiking, various outdoor mountain sports, paragliding, tennis, swimming, horseback riding, and not to forget: enjoying golf on the many golf courses in the immediate vicinity. It’s all possible in Wildschönau.

Our complex is situated in a unique location, just 50 meters walking distance from the Markbachjoch gondola. With the complex right in the center of Niederau and directly opposite the gondola, you’ll be on the slopes in no time, ready to enjoy the fantastic winter sports opportunities.

Niederau not only offers fantastic ski slopes, but you can also explore the surroundings of Auffach. It’s just a short 15-minute drive by car, or if you prefer to travel by ski bus, the stop is right next to our complex. Furthermore, the supermarket and gas station are less than 700 meters away, making everything easily accessible for a carefree vacation.

In Niederau, there are numerous restaurants to indulge in. Our own restaurant, Glennie’s, is located in the Kristall Plaza complex. Beyond the center of Niederau, there are many diverse restaurants to savor. And if you feel like a day of shopping, drive down the pass to Wörgl, a charming town at the foot of the pass, where you’ll find a nice and cozy indoor shopping center.

Almost next to Kristall Plaza complex is Blachfelder, where you can find ski rental and bike rental services. This way, you can start your adventure without any hassle.
