Gerlos is a real ski paradise in winter. Gerlos is located on an elevation of over 1.300 meters and snow is absolutely guaranteed. It lies in the middle of the Zillertal Arena with a total of 200 km of ski slopes. Using the new gondola, winter sports enthusiasts can depart for the slopes from the center of Gerlos. The Dorfbahn Gerlos is a great asset for the Zillertal Arena and offers various services. Our complexes in Gerlos are located near the center, so you can easily visit the nicest and coziest places of Gerlos from your apartment.

Isskogellift

The Iskogellift takes the beginners to numerous wide blue slopes. Experienced skiers can enjoy the many red and black slopes, undertake endless trips of make challenging descents in nearby Könnigsleiten. As Gerlos is part of the immensely large Zillertal Arena, skinning opportunities without interruptions are endless. Children are welcome in Kinderland, where skiing and playing go hand in hand.

Activities Gerlos

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are plenty other fun activities, including the toboggan track, there is a skating rink and there are beautiful cross-country trails.

With its main road full of various accommodation, many cafes and bars and attractive restaurants, Gerlos also offers excellent after-ski opportunities. The Austrians have a reputation where conviviality is concerned. When dusk falls, you can really enjoy the many restaurant facilities of Gerlos. The ‘Cin-cin’ and ‘Little London’ are legendary.

Gerlos during the summer

While Gerlos is a popular winter sports destination, there is much to enjoy in summer too.

Various hiking routs meander through the wonderful alpine landscape. The Zillertal also offers fantastic mountain bike trails in the Zillertal. Great tours and trips with a guide are all possible. Gerlos also offers many opportunities for climbing. The village has a 12-meter high climbing tower and there are several climbing parks for both young and old. Besides, there are numerous opportunities for relaxing: think of various wellness centers. For a more active holiday, there is a tennis court in Gerlos and there are opportunities for parasailing.

Continuing from Gerlos in the direction of Köningsleiten you will reach the Durlassboden Stausee. In summer, the water heats up to about 21 degrees and you cannot only go there for cooling and relaxation, but also for sports activities. On the lake you can go fishing, surfing, canoeing, sailing and driving a pedal boat. You can also make a 10-kilometre walk around the lake or simply enjoy the panoramic view from the terrace at Gasthof Finkau, the Bärschlagalm and the Seestüberl.

From Utrecht, it’s approximately 950 kilometers driving to our complex, Gerlos Alpine Estate. Most people take an average of 10 to 12 hours to reach Gerlos Alpine Estate.

From the apartments at Gerlos Alpine Estate, you’ll have a stunning view of the Zillertal mountains and the village of Gerlos.

Our complex is beautifully situated on a slope. Near the beginning of the slope, you’ll find the bus stop for the ski bus, which takes you to the new Dorfbahn gondola. It’s only 900 meters from Gerlos Alpine Estate to the ski lifts. By car, you can reach the new Dorfbahn gondola, located in the center of Gerlos, in less than 5 minutes. Safely park your car in the spacious parking garage near the gondola, and you’ll be on the slopes in no time!

In the center of Gerlos, you’ll find a vibrant selection of cozy cafés, bars, restaurants, and charming shops. If you’re looking for more shopping opportunities, you can reach the large shopping center in Innsbruck in about an hour’s drive. But in Gerlos itself, there’s already more than enough to keep you entertained, especially if you enjoy après-ski.

At Gerlos Alpine Estate, everything is within reach! Supermarkets and other shops are just a 3-minute drive or 900 meters walk from Gerlos Alpine Estate. And if you happen to need to refuel, the gas station is located near the Isskogellift gondola.

For your convenience, there are two large Intersport stores in the center of Gerlos where you can easily rent skis and bikes. They also offer lockers to securely and conveniently store your equipment.
